Match 12 (12:30 PM NPT): In-Form Janakpur Bolts Eye Sole Lead Against Biratnagar
Entering this afternoon’s encounter, inaugural 2024 champions Janakpur Bolts sit joint-top of the victory charts with four points from three matches (two wins, one loss). Having rebounded from an opening defeat to Karnali by thrashing Kathmandu Gorkhas by eight wickets and defending 147 against Pokhara Avengers on Sunday night, Janakpur arrive full of confidence.
Former England international Moeen Ali—who has already claimed six wickets, including three for 13 against Pokhara—leads the bowling attack alongside Harmeet Singh, while top-order batter Trit Raj Das (fresh from a match-winning 61), Jimmy Neesham, and Anil Sah provide solid batting depth.
Opposing them are Sandeep Lamichhane’s Biratnagar Kings (one point from three matches), who view this clash as a must-win. After suffering two narrow defeats by eight runs to Chitwan and four wickets to Karnali before their weekend game was washed out, Biratnagar need explosive displays from Andre Russell, Charith Asalanka, and Angelo Mathews to claim two vital points.

In tonight’s floodlit clash, undefeated defending champions Lumbini Lions (three points from two games, carrying a tournament-best Net Run Rate of +4.599) return to action against Kushal Bhurtel and Shakib Al Hasan’s Pokhara Avengers, who are searching for their first points of the tournament after two consecutive defeats.
